Kelly began her recruitment career in 2008 working for a large international agency, initially as a Recruitment Consultant and then progressing through the ranks to become a Senior Manager, successfully managing her own team, as well as being in the top 5 consultants in the UK for Permanent recruitment.

After having her children, Kelly decided to use her vast skillset and experience to set up her own recruitment agency, knowing that being successful in recruitment was about a lot more than simply sending a CV to a job.

She is an expert recruitment and resourcing strategist who works closely with business owners and senior leadership teams across North and East Yorkshire to look at their talent strategy for the future and how she can support this, engaging with clients regularly to discuss staff retention, talent mapping and attraction, diversity and inclusion, employer branding, current market conditions and salary bench-marking. This then enables her team to recruit the best talent for their clients within Accountancy and Finance, HR, Office Support, Sales, Marketing and IT.

Kelly also makes sure that she supports her candidates as much as possible throughout their journey with KD Recruitment by giving them the opportunity to get bespoke careers advice, giving them up to date guidance on their CVs and personal branding, as well as supporting them with interview preparation.

After 12 months in business, Kelly was shortlisted for a number of business awards in the local region including the Yorkshire Choice Awards and the Chamber of Commerce and won the prestigious “STAR Women in Business” award for best Micro business, which shows the impact that she made in such a short space of time. Kelly has grown the team and they continue with the same values as her which is clear to see as KD Recruitment are now recognised as one of the leading recruitment agencies on the Yorkshire Coast.

Cathy Wood

Cathy Wood

Recruitment Consultant

Cathy recruits across the East Yorkshire region for KD Recruitment, her background is varied as she has worked within a variety of industries from Manufacturing and Engineering to Financial Services to name a few. Having started her career in administration and contact centre roles, she then progressed moved into credit control and more recently sales and customer services.

During her career, Cathy has also managed her own team and been responsible for the recruitment and training that comes with it. She fully understands what it takes to recruit the best talent around by working closely with her clients to fully understand their business, the culture and future goals as well as making sure that she know everything about the job they want her to recruit for, so that she can go away to match the right candidates to their job.

Jenna Bowman

Resourcing Administrator

As a Resourcing Administrator Jenna searches and selects the best candidates around to support the team at KD Recruitment with matching the right candidates to the right jobs, checking their ID and eligibility to work in the UK. She also manages all the social media channels as well as coordinating all events and seminars.
