Our client is a leading Lettings and Estate Agency based on the East Coast of Yorkshire. Due to retirement within the business, they are now looking for someone to come in initially as a Senior Manager with a view to progressing to Director and then ultimately having the opportunity to buy into the business within the next 2 – 5 years.

Responsibilities

Overseeing a busy sales and lettings team, you could be speaking to property owners, landlords and tenants on a daily basis and dealing with any queries. Marketing the business via different campaigns to potential new clients who may be advertising their properties through competitors in the area as well as networking. Conducting 121’s and appraisals with staff as well as allocating work.

On the lettings side you will be supporting your team with creating inventories, organising sub-contractors to go into properties as well as negotiating the costs with landlords if work needs to be done, making sure all checks have been completed on the property as well as drawing up all legal documents required for the landlords and tenants such as the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. Overseeing the bank reconciliations and allocation of monies back to the tenants and landlords when required.

On the sales side you will be required to go out and value residential and commercial properties for sale as well as conducting viewings, negotiating sales and supporting with the sales progression by liaising with the solicitors, owners and buyers along the chain.

Qualities

That’s why we are preferably looking for someone wo has previous experience in a similar role of working across both sales and lettings. Someone has a track record of driving business forward and increasing revenue within the estate agency.

If you have experience of Block Management and / or commercial Business Transfers that would be beneficial, although not essential.

Experience

You should be fully computer literate with the accuracy and attention to detail to match as you would be checking the banking every day reconciling tenants’ payments against properties and chasing any outstanding rent. If you have used Winman software that would be highly beneficial also.

This is a full-time position with an uncapped commission structure and an amazing career opportunity to very quickly progress to director and then ultimately part owner of the business.
