Our client is a leading firm of Solicitors based in central York. They are currently looking for a Legal Assistant to join their Residential Property team.

Working a friendly and outgoing team you would be supporting the legal advisors with their day to day duties, meeting with clients face to face as well as speaking with them over the phone dealing with any queries, giving estimates of costs as well as chasing for ID as well.

You could be opening new client files using their case management system, typing letters and documents, dealing with pre and post exchange contract work, registrations and scheduling of deeds, using the Land Registry portal and carrying out land Registry and Property searches.


That’s why we are looking for someone who has previous experience within Conveyancing / Residential Property from a secretarial or administrative background. Someone who is fully computer literate with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills as you may also need to help tenants with their enquiries such as completing right to buy application forms.


This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.00 based in central York. There are 25 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as a pension, health plan and a variety of other employee benefits from social events to discounts on legal fees.
