Our client is a well-established Agricultural Manufacturer based in York. Due to continued growth, they have created a new job within their Purchasing and Raw Materials department for a coordinator to learn all about materials handling, the procurement process within the business and then progress their career to eventually become the Deputy Purchasing Manager.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Supporting the Purchasing manager, you could be the main point of contact between procurement, transport, production and customer services. Looking at all of the orders that come in on a daily basis from clients, and coordinating the raw materials coming in for the production team to use.

You could also be inputting the costs of all raw materials into the database to generate the final cost of the manufactured product, speaking with customers and monitoring what product has been sold, liaising with logistics to coordinate deliveries coming in and going out as well as keeping all records accurate and up to date.

Qualities

That’s why we are looking for someone who has previous experience within raw materials planning / purchasing administration, or an agricultural background / qualification with a desire to work within this type of role.

Experience

Someone who has strong computer skills with experience of using Microsoft Office, an interest and awareness of what is going on in the world and the impact that it could have with the import / export of materials along with a keen eye for detail and the enthusiasm to learn a new hands on role.

This is a full-time job working Monday to Friday 8.00 – 5.00 with car parking available, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and a company profit based annual bonus.
