Our client is a well-established business with sites all over the UK. They are currently looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to work in their Head office in the York area.

This role sits within HR and you would be part of a team of 9, processing the payroll and benefits from start to finish.

You could be running the monthly payroll for all head office staff, producing payroll reports, costings and journals as well as resolving any anomalies to make sure the payroll is accurate at all times. Dealing with any tax queries relating to P11d’s, P46, Cars and PSA as well as maintaining all compliance needed.


You could also initiate any payroll audits to check compliance levels, set up and maintain staff on the HR database and process timesheets, additions and deductions. You could also be responsible for implementing and processing the company pension, private medical cover, company cars / car allowances, holidays, SSP, MSP, bonus schemes along with any other flexible benefits on offer.

That’s why we are looking for a Payroll coordinator who can run the payroll and benefits process from start to finish with the ability to work on their own initiative. Someone who fully understands the legislation around payroll and who can work well with HMRC and adhere to their compliance needs.


Our client is looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a similar role with a good understanding of pay and benefits legislation along with the systems experience to match. Someone who has a strong eye for detail with excellent communication skills who can build strong relationships with colleagues all over the business.

This is a full-time position 37.5 hours a week, however the business has agile flexible working which means your start and finish time is flexible. There is free car parking available along with a company bonus and pension.
