Our client is a growing business based in the Filey are. Due to internal promotion they are now looking for a Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

Supporting the Finance Manager, you could be calculating and processing payroll for up to 250 permanent / sub contract staff using Sage payroll. Dealing with PAYE, MSP, SSP, pension, PAYE etc as well as dealing with staff enquiries around attendance and time records.

You could be processing around 40 sales invoices and 50 purchase invoices onto Sage each month. Matching invoices to purchase order, month reconciliation as well as dealing with any supplier queries that come in.


That’s why we are looking for an Accounts Assistant who has payroll experience and previous use of Sage, someone who can process VAT returns on a quarterly basis as well as reconciliation of their credit card statements.


Someone who has good excel and numeracy skills and a strong attention to detail. Able to prioritise their workload, accordingly, supporting the wider finance team as well as having a positive “can do” attitude.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.00 with an hour for lunch, car parking is available along with a friendly office atmosphere.
