Our client is a growing business in York who are now an employer of choice in the region. Due to growth, they are now looking to increase their finance team with an additional Management Accountant to support their Regional Financial Controller. This role is initially a 9 month contract, however there is a chance it could go permanent for the right person.
Working in a busy team based at head office, you could be preparing management accounts for a variety of businesses within the group. Developing and maintaining the balance sheet reconciliations, analysing the Profit and Loss as well as posting journals of accruals, prepayments, sales, rebates, payroll and petty cash.
You could also be reconciling inter-company transactions, maintain the fixed asset register and processing the monthly VAT, quarterly returns and reconciliations along with preparing the aged debtor report, resolving of aged items and debit balances and performing the creditors ledger review.
That’s why we are looking for someone who has previous experience as a Management Accountant, who is either qualified by experience or with their CIMA / ACCA / ACA. Someone who is fully computer literate, preferably with previous use of Sage / MS Navision and excellent MS Excel skills.
A Management Accountant who can work independently as well as liaising with the larger finance team and the wider business. A confident candidate who is inquisitive and ask questions along with an excellent attention for detail.
