Our client is a leading Lettings and Estate Agency with multiple branches based on the East Coast. Due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit in a Lettings Office Manager who will not only manage the office and staff but also drive the lettings business forward.

Responsibilities

You could be speaking to landlords and tenants on a daily basis and dealing with any queries, organising sub-contractors to go into properties as well as negotiating the costs with landlords if work needs to be done, marketing the business via different campaigns to potential new landlords who may be advertising their properties through competitors in the area as well as potentially networking. Conducting 121’s and appraisals with staff as well as allocating work.

Qualities

You may be required to go out and value properties and conduct viewings, create an inventory, make sure all checks have been completed on the property as well as drawing up all legal documents required for the landlords and tenants such as the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. Once a property has been rented out then you will request references on potential tenants, obtain fees and bonds as well as coordinate moving in.

Experience

That’s why we are preferably looking for someone wo has previous experience in a similar role or alternatively someone who has a background in Marketing, networking and a track record of growing a business using different methods rather than cold calling.

You should be fully computer literate with the accuracy and attention to detail to match as you would be checking the banking every day reconciling tenants’ payments against properties and chasing any outstanding rent. If you have used Winman software that would be highly beneficial also.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm with an OTE of circa £25,000 and a mobile phone provided.
