Our client is a leading FMCG business based in the Malton area who have recently acquired a new arm to the business. Due to internal movement they are now looking for a fully qualified Finance Manager to join their Group Finance Team.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be developing a highly efficient, flexible and responsive accounts team, providing technical expertise as well as playing a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and a strong financial control environment. Building strong relationships across the senior operational teams as well as across the wider finance team.

Managing a busy department of accountants, you could be managing the production of all group internal and statutory financial reporting making sure that they are accurate and adhere to tight deadlines. Working closely with the tax accountant to make sure that statutory responsibilities are met to a high standard and compliance risk to the group is minimised. Manage the production of central and IT accounts and reporting as well as partnering with the central functions and IT.

Qualities

You could even manage the production of the group insurance renewal, assisting in development of accounting and financial policies as well as having a focus on all financial controls, in particular acting as custodian for the group balance sheet. You may also be required to lead the acquisition integration for the team.

That’s why we are looking for an ACA qualified Finance Manager who has experience of managing and developing a team as well as being able to deal with all statutory responsibilities and support the integration of their recent acquisition into the group. Some Audit experience would be preferable.

Experience

Someone who has excellent technical and IT skills, using a variety of different software including advanced Excel. You must be flexible and able to consistently meet deadlines whilst remaining motivated and focused on delivery as well as being able to build relationships and work with the wider business.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays along with a pension and life assurance. There is also car parking available.
