Our client is a leading firm of solicitors who have offices all over the region, however they are currently looking for an experienced legal secretary to work in their Family department based at their head office in central York.

Supporting a Senior Associate, you could be dealing with a lot of Audio and Copy typing, Opening and closing client files, processing all post, booking appointments for the solicitor along with setting up the meeting rooms and organising refreshments.

You could be speaking to clients over the telephone as well as face to face, accurately updating the case management system on a daily basis as well as preparing invoices to send out to clients in a timely manner. Due to the nature of this department there is a lot of preparation of trail and disclosure bundles.


That’s why we are looking for a legal secretary who has worked in a family department previously, with a good accuracy and attention to detail with the communication skills to match. Due to the nature of the department you should be able to show empathy to clients and put them at ease.
