Our client is a well-established and reputable financial services organisation based in the Beverley area. Due to continued growth they are currently looking for a Collections Advisor to join their Mortgage team.
Working in this stand-alone role, you will be speaking to customers on a daily basis, chasing any missed direct debit payments, encouraging customers to move to direct debit for future payments as well as looking for solutions to your customers arrears problems such as payment plans, interest deferrals etc.
You will be looking for key indicators of actual or potential impairment and working proactively with customers to manage those situations, completing income and expenditure forms with the customer, as well as working closely with them to establish affordable and sustainable solutions to payment difficulties, or going down the litigation rout if the customer is unable to repay their arrears.
That’s why we are looking for someone who has worked in a collections or credit control role previously from within a B2C or Financial Services environment, where the focus has been on customer service and to support them as much as possible to resolve their payment difficulties.
This is a busy role where you will need to be self managed and able to work on your own initiative. Our client is looking for someone who has great empathy and is comfortable having difficult conversations with customers who are in arrears with their mortgage payments.
This is a heavily regulated environment and an understanding of mortgages or FCA guidelines would be highly beneficial.
Due to the current climate, there is the option to work from home and all equipment will be provided, however there will be occasions when you will be required to go into the office for meetings, scanning, filing or looking into old files that are not computerised etc.
This is a full time position working Monday to Friday, if you work from the office there is car parking available and they have flexible hours available if needed.
