Our client is a well-established law firm who have an excellent reputation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Admin Assistant to join their Residential Property / Conveyancing team based at their Head office in York.
Supporting a busy team of legal advisors, you could be preparing letters and documents via audio and copy typing, opening and closing of client files, booking meetings and relevant meeting rooms for the legal advisors as well as supporting other secretaries when needed.
You could be meeting with clients face to face or speaking to them over the phone to deal with any initial enquiries as well as taking accurate telephone messages. Updating the case management system (Proclaim) and possibly amending and formatting complex documents. Using the Land Registry portal for downloading copies of plans etc as well as carrying out property searches using agents.
That’s why we are looking for an Administrator who is looking to get into the legal field or who has previously worked within Residential Property or Conveyancing from within an administration or secretarial role previously. A candidate who has a strong attention to detail with a good typing speed and the ability to work on their own initiative.
This is a full time position working Monday to Friday over 35 hours with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, health cash plan, discounts on legal advice and other staff benefits.
