Our client a leading manufacturing business in the York area. They are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a small friendly finance team managing the Sales Ledger Function, Payroll and some Month End duties.
Working in a busy standalone role you may be looking at variance analysis, journal postings, receipts forecasting and production of reports for the directors. Raising and processing invoices and credit notes, resolving disputes and late payments, ledger reconciliations, control and reconciliation of invoice financing facility, daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitoring and granting of credit limits as well as monthly intrastat reporting.
You would also need to process the Payroll administration for the site for around 100 employees; including weekly processing of timesheets, resolving queries with missed clocking cards, hours or overtime, updating staff records including holiday accrual, entitlements and bookings, monthly processing of payroll including data importing from Excel spreadsheets and exporting payment data to the online banking facility.
That’s why we are looking for an Accounts Assistant who has previous experience in a well rounding position with the payroll and sales ledger experience along with a desire to get more involved in the month end duties. Someone who is at least AAT level 4 or has the relevant experience, who can work on their own initiative and have an excellent attention to detail.
Someone who has previous experience of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll who is also fully computer literate with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
